In today’s complex world of medical care, there is a renewed need for a profession often overlooked by newcomers to the industry. Medical coders are employees who work to correct medical billing practices, research and plan for medical reimbursement, and work to maximize hospital facility efficiency. Many years ago, medical coders were rare because insurance was more simplistic.
