Paralegals are essential to the vitality of a case’s success, because they assist the lawyer in almost every aspect of case research, correspondence, and trial preparation. Because of this, they must be effectively trained in each of these areas. Paralegal training cannot be limited to simply one aspect of case preparation, because that’s simply not the way law offices work. They are involved from start to finish. By the time of trial, paralegals sometimes know the specifics of a case better than the lawyers themselves.
